Eating the scent of spices and herbs , surrounded by vineyards and olive groves as far as the eye
and with a breathtaking panorama that sweeps from the countryside to the sea and the Apuan Alps.
At the restaurant Vipore you can live every day and every night this magical atmosphere ,
simple but of great beauty.

The local historian , in fact, is in Pieve S. Stephen, in the midst of the most beautiful hills of Lucca
and sweets where , not surprisingly , produce an excellent wine and oil quality.
A favorable climate which also benefits from the same Vipore years in its beautiful herb garden ,
a vegetable garden really special, planted with flower beds,
which runs in front of the large veranda of the restaurant.

During the summer, but also in the beautiful days of autumn and winter ,
is a series of scents . In addition to the aromatic and medicinal plants most common ,
there are specimens sought after as coriander , lemon balm, santolina ,
nasturtium, chervil and many others. There are more species of domestic real hedges,
thickets even . From here every day for the chef draws its culinary preparations ,
all dishes inspired by the cuisine and simple as it once was : farro salad greens ,
eggs and dried meat of Pontormo , croutons, ravioli , tomato soup , beef with herbs ,
grilled chicken , potato flavorings and pies with beaks, just to name a few.

Moreover, even get to Vipore , or browse around Vipore , is a unique experience.
A few hundred meters from the place, in fact , there is the beautiful church of S. Stefano.
Surrounded by olive trees , clean and simple with the porch and into the Romanesque bell tower ,
the church is majestic in its simplicity '.
And for those who want to do a few more steps on foot or by car,
there is the road , past the restaurant, go on , to the estate of Forci.
After a stretch of white acacia trees and fragrant , the road opens up almost infinite ,
as running on a ridge : on one side the coast terraced and planted with olive trees ,
on the other the view towards the plains and beyond the plains, other hills ,
Lucca , the sea, the Apuan Alps .

Similar scenarios along the road from S. Alessio salt at the restaurant.
Forests of oak and pine trees alternate with mighty olive trees and vineyards ,
interspersed here and there ' from old farmhouses and barns where chickens emerge .
Camouflaged in this Arcadian landscape lurk villas and historic estates ,
transformed into cozy cottages . As the Podere di Rosa ,
where the charm of the most modern comfort does not remove the heat of the rural world ,
or as the Tenuta Maria Teresa , born in the nineteenth century
as the residence of the Duchess of Lucca Maria Teresa of Bourbon ,
or as the Factory S. Martino , a splendid eighteenth-century villa
decorated with antique furniture .
